ELEMENTS

We have the daily pleasure of being inspired by incredible planners showing off their creativity in the venue day after day. To kick start a new year, we wanted to welcome our clients to an enchanting event that would kick off 2020 and inspire even more ingenuity in the year ahead. The theme of Elements is a play on ‘the Globe’ – taking inspiration from nature and the lush verdancy of spring that we’re longing for in this cold, bleak winter!

We set the magical tone early – mailing a special ‘terrarium’ for guests to assemble and bring with them as a home to a flickering firefly and a wish for the year ahead. These were added to the entrance decor in the elevator lobby, with guests contributing to the intrigue of the arrival environment.

Earth, air, fire and water inspired our preferred caterers The Food Dudes, McEwan and Presidential Gourmet coming up with stunning and scrumptious offerings as passed appetizers and food stations.  We were so thrilled to kick off our new partnership with BarChef with a series of element-inspired cocktails that delighted guests and filled instagram feeds!

The dark and moody atmosphere created by EPIQVision was unlike anything we had ever experienced. Using the latest AV technology in every corner of the venue Jordan and the team created an unforgettable environment of light, colour, eucalyptus-scented fog and an LED video wall that indeed transformed the event space into our magical forest and set an exceptional mood for the revelry.

Opening Night Flowers and EPIQ designed awe-inspiring custom chandeliers adding impactful glam throughout the Event Hall – a real testament to the collaborative power of our partners. Nick and the Opening Night Flowers team showcased some of their most striking pieces including 10’ trees and endless florals and fauna along with creating our special butterfly photo booth with Mango Studios. Dance Floor Decor added a custom entrance and fresh, modern houndstooth instagram snap spot that was busy all evening long, complimented by some specialty stones from Index Creative.

Mirrored bars, gold accents and lush velvet furniture from Detailz popped on exceptional navy carpet from Reznick – many of our guests commented on how the complement of the carpet and furniture made the entire space feel so intimate and sensual – completely different from the usual light, bright and airy feel of our past client events.

The Idea Hunter brought the perfect entertainment touches – DJ Bianca, live musicians with a modern take on today’s hits, and the incredible ‘vineman’ who surprised more than a few unsuspecting guests who thought he was just the decor!

We can’t wait to see what new magic awaits in the year ahead!
